Overview
What does Dinagro Agropecuaria Ltda do?
Founded in 1968 by Izidro Pedro de Freitas and Salvatore Romano, Dinagro began its activities in the trade of insecticides and livestock products. In that same year the partners discovered their industrial vocation and began the manufacture of insecticides. In 1969, the first formicide bait factory in Brazil was inaugurated. Dinagro's pioneering work has borne fruit: soon other Brazilians also realized that they could manufacture that product that had been imported up until then. In a short time the Formicida Baits became a strong ally of the national producer and contributed greatly to the Brazilian agriculture to undergo its first great leverage. Although diversifying for a few years in other activities such as: production and trade of seeds, production of foliar fertilizers and organic fertilizers, etc., is in the production of formicida baits of high standard that Dinagro has stood out throughout its existence . In the last years the company has been internationalizing with the objective of offering even more options to Brazilian agribusiness. In 2005, Dinagro partnered with China in the search for new molecules and assets to control agricultural and forest pests. Dinagro is associated with ABRAISCA (Brazilian Association of Manufacturers of Insecticidal Baits) that advocates the use of the products of its associates in accordance with current legislation and with the best available technologies and is also associated with AENDA (Brazilian Association of Generic Defenses) which deals with regulatory issues regarding the registration of agricultural pesticides in Brazil.
