Caja de Ahorro de los Telefonistas, S.C. de A.P. de R.L. de C.V. is a non-profit savings and credit society that provides a public service, authorized by the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, with its own personality and assets, regulated by the Bank of Mexico, supervised by the National Banking and Securities Commission, and governed by a specific legal framework based on its bylaws.

City of Bridgetown Co-operative Credit Union Limited was registered on the 20th October 1983. Historical documents indicate that C.O.B was formed by individuals who had much difficulty accessing funds from other financial institutions. Seeing the wisdom of forming a society which allowed young professionals like themselves to channel their limited resources and have easy access to a credit union, they came together to create an organisation that provides these services. Thus, C.O.B. was established. In the months to follow, many discussions took place – facilitated by persons who generously allowed their homes to be used on such occasions. Volunteers handled the society’s business up to this time.

La Asociación Peravia de Ahorros y Préstamos es un organismo de derecho privado sin fines de lucro, fundada el 15 de Julio del 1963, al amparo de la Ley No. 5897, del 14 de Mayo del 1962, publicada en la Gaceta Oficial No. 8663, de fecha 20 de Junio del 1962. Esta entidad tiene como objetivos principales promover y fomentar las captaciones de depósitos para ser destinados al otorgamiento de créditos para la construcción, adquisición y mejoramiento de viviendas, así como contribuir a un mayor y mejor desarrollo de otros sectores de la economía del país. En la 1ra. Asamblea General de depositantes celebrada el 15 de Mayo del 1963, se fijó el texto vigente de los estatutos y el actual nombre de la institución. El marco jurídico que rige sus operaciones es la Ley Monetaria y Financiera No. 183.02 puesta en vigencia el 21 de noviembre del 2002 y sus reglamentos.
